Release Day!

Ghost of a Chance is out now! I’m bouncing around the web this week and next, talking about the book and sharing a couple of exclusive excerpts. Y’all know by now how much I adore this book (and the sequels that will be out later this year) and this world I’ve created. I hope you love it as much as I do.

Only love makes life worth living—over and over again.

Ghostwalker Blake Jones dies every day. It’s his job and how he helps trapped souls cross over. But to return to life, he needs an anchor. His new partner, Derek Scott, is a surprise. Not only is he male, but his appearance belies a caring and gentle heart underneath. Despite attraction and a strengthening relationship, they know they shouldn’t take things further.

But there’s a big difference between knowing and doing.

Their growing love presents a problem, though not the one they expect. Blake and Derek have to decide if they should take their relationship to the most permanent level—an unbreakable metaphysical bond. Doing so offers both risk and unimaginable reward. Can Blake let go of his fears and put his complete trust in Derek in order to have the happily ever after he’s always craved?

Beholden

Years ago, before I was a published author, I had a personal blog with very few readers. I still enjoyed updating it, and I was still writing, though I hadn’t yet gotten anything into shape to submit for publication. But on that blog, I started writing a serial story about magic and love. I wrote a sequel too. But while I was doing that, I did get published, and after a while, I didn’t have much to say on the personal blog and decided to stop updating it.

Fast forward to about two years ago. I’d been published and was focusing on writing new things. I decided to revisit the old world I’d created in that serial story, revamp it and tweak, create new characters, and write a new story. This one would have several sequels, and the overarching plot would not be resolved in one book, but go through all of them, even as new couples fell in love in each one. It was ambitious and I was excited.

Things…happened. I won’t go into them, because there’s no sense in rehashing it, but suffice it to say, I shelved the book I’d written and the idea to go with it. I mean, I thought about it over the years, and even had an idea to revamp parts of it, and write a new first story and and and…

Anyway, it never happened.

But lately, I got to thinking about that story again, about the world and about the metaplot. Since I had already decided I was going to stop letting fear hold me back, I dusted off the story, made a few edits and tweaks, realized it was pretty good, and submitted it for publication.

Beholden was picked up by JMS Books and will be out in April. It’s got love and magic and a problem that needs to be fixed. It’s the first of a trilogy. It’s about Julian and Wes, and how they fall in love while trying to do their jobs.

I adore it. And I can’t wait to bring it to you.

Coming Soon!

Releasing on January 13th from JMS Books!

Hero Worship was originally part of an anthology several years ago, but when the rights returned to me, I knew I’d eventually put it back out in one way or another. JMS gave me the opportunity.

If you haven’t read it yet, you can get it in just one week! I’ll have buy links up soon. I’ve also written several flashes since it’s first release, featuring Matt and Alex, because I just couldn’t let them go. After release, I’ll pop em all in so you can check them out.
